Description

The scenic Eifel is not only the home of the famous Nürburgring, but also the home of the motorsport accessories distributor ISA-Racing, which has competently and reliably supplied motor sports enthusiasts from private individuals to factory teams with high-quality motorsport accessories for 40 years.

The beginnings of ISA-Racing go back to the second half of the seventies. At that time, Peter Kroeber, the founder of ISA Racing, was one of the most successful Formula Ford drivers in Germany as a 40-time winner and two-time winner of the Formula Ford European Championship. At that time, however, his enthusiasm for motorsports was also looking for something outside of the cockpit. In 1976 he started the first professional Formula Ford rental team with the Austrian Walter Lechner and from 1977 took over the Europe-wide sales of the van Diemen Formula Ford racing cars, which were known at the time.

The starting shot for the success story under the ISA Racing flag was given in 1980 with the establishment of the ISA Racing Team, which competed with Volker Weidler in the German Formula Ford and immediately achieved second place overall. After another runner-up title, the first championship title was secured in the third year, also with Volker Weidler. As a result, the ISA Racing Team developed into the Formula Ford team that dominated Germany for years. Many well-known racing drivers such. B. Joachim Winkelhock, Manuel Reuter, Markus Oestreich and Ellen Lohr earned their first spurs in automobile sport in the team led by Peter Kroeber with great passion.

In 1982 the business area was expanded and Germany's first professional racing driver school opened at the Nürburgring with the ISA Racing School. One of the instructors worked, among others, the later Formula 1 driver Roland Ratzenberger. In the same year, the racing car business was expanded with the additional sale of the well-known Reynard brand.

As a successful driver and team owner, Peter Kroeber knew the importance of a reliable supply of spare parts and accessories and recognized the need for this in Germany early on. His good contacts in England helped him to organize the necessary accessories and spare parts for himself and for the needs in the paddock during his active racing driver days. Together with the sales of the two English racing car brands van Diemen and Reynard, a sales company gradually developed that resulted in today's motorsport accessories specialist ISA-Racing. In keeping with our own standards, the guideline in the selection of products was always quality and innovation. Since the 1980s ISA-Racing has introduced such well-known brands as AP-Racing, ATL, DMS, SPA, STACK and Willans onto the German market.

Based in Mayen at the beginning of the 1980s, the fast-growing company increasingly needed more space. In the same decade, the company moved to larger premises in nearby Mendig. In the further course the focus was on the rapidly growing sales business and the activities as a racing team and racing driver school were phased out.

As the premises became too small again in the 1990s, Peter Kroeber decided to move into a new building with a representative showroom in Kottenheim, optimized for sales activities. In the spacious sales area, customers can find out about innovative solutions and receive personal advice.

In accordance with his own standards of professionalism, Peter Kroeber put together a competent team of employees with many years of motorsport experience around him. This constellation even enables him to go back to his heart's affair, racing, from time to time from the beginning of the new millennium. The highlight in 2004 was the class win at the 500 km Youngtimer race on the Nürburgring.

After Peter Kroeber succumbed to a serious illness in September 2008, the team he set up around the managing director Petra Eitelbach-Geilen took over the management of the company.

With the trend-setting ISA-Racing online shop, which opened in 2009, the company now also faces the internet business. The product range has been expanded in recent years to include other high-quality brands such as Dino Paoli, Schroth, Recaro, SuperB, Lazer Lamps and Simpson.
The diverse range of high-quality brands in connection with the ISA-Racing catalog, which has been published for almost three decades and is practically the standard work in motorsport, the ISA-Racing racing service and the online shop offers every motorsport customer - from private drivers to works teams - a unique one Supply base for the need for motorsport spare parts and accessories.
